If paying online with a credit or debit card, there is a fee of 2.95% of the transaction value, with a minimum fee of $1.95.

If you are a non-resident borrower, please visit the library to renew & pay the fee, or pay using our online form.

If you are a Portsmouth resident, come to the Circulation Desk during open hours to renew your library card.

Library cards will not be renewed for borrowers with outstanding overdue items or fines, until their account is cleared.

To re-register, proof of current residence must be shown.

Residents’ Library cards are valid for two years.
